Shooting condos and high-rises in the center city
Most Uptown listings are stacked: condos in towers and mid-rise buildings across the four wards, plus a smaller number of townhomes and older homes in pockets like Fourth Ward. A buyer scrolling an Uptown condo isn't looking for a big backyard. They want to know how much light the unit gets, what the view looks like, how the kitchen opens to the living space and what the building offers downstairs.
That shapes the shoot. Floor-to-ceiling glass is the hardest thing in a high-rise unit to photograph, because the skyline outside is far brighter than the room. HDR bracketing lets the interior and the view hold detail in the same frame, so the city reads through the window instead of turning white. The balcony or terrace and the unit's strongest view get their own frames, since that is often the feature a buyer saves the listing for.
Building amenities and access
Rooftop pools, fitness centers, lobbies and club rooms help sell a condo, but they belong to the HOA or building management, not the seller. Many buildings want advance notice before common areas are photographed, and some limit when vendors can use the garage or loading area. If you want amenities included, check the building's rules and arrange access ahead of time, and share parking or concierge instructions before the shoot.
Drone photos near Charlotte Douglas
Uptown sits inside the controlled airspace around Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and the skyline is crowded with tall buildings. Every package includes drone photos, but drone flights here are subject to airspace authorization, and some addresses may only allow low altitudes or no flight at all. When aerials aren't possible, the exterior coverage leans on ground-level shots of the building and the view from the unit itself.
Which package fits an Uptown listing?
For a one- or two-bedroom condo, Signature (from $649) is usually the right call. Its detailed floor plan with room measurements answers the two most common condo questions, how the rooms connect and how big they are, and the social media reel suits buyers who discover listings on Instagram and TikTok. Essentials (from $349) covers a straightforward unit with clean HDR photos, drone photos and a basic layout plan. For penthouses and top-floor units with standout views, Luxury (from $1,295) adds a cinematic video, a 3D tour + floor plan and 3 virtual twilights, and a dusk view of the skyline can become the hero image.
A 3D tour and floor plan or a cinematic listing video can also be added at checkout. Uptown is in Charlotte, so there's no trip fee, and photos are delivered the next day.
